On May 25, 2023, Thalis E.S. S.A. signed a contract with the Region of Western Macedonia, and the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Voio (DEYA VOIOU) for the project " Wastewater Treatment Plant of Siatista - Kozani”.

The facility is planned for 40 years, for the year 2047 with a reference year of 2007 and concerns an equivalent design population of 8100 i.c.

The project includes the following:

• Construction of the treatment plant, from the inlet - pre-treatment works to the outlet well,
• Interconnection of the entrance works with the pipeline of the external drainage network of the settlement, which reaches to the boundary of the WWTP,
• Interconnection projects of the outflow of treated water with a closed outflow pipeline and the construction of this pipeline, which will be installed underground in a trench along the Kontolakkia water stream and the side farm road, in a total length of 1150m downstream, with a PVC pipeline Φ500, for the disposal of treated sewage,commissioning and integration testing,
• Operation and maintenance for 12 months (including integration tests and placing the installation in efficient operation).

The technology that has been chosen is that of activated sludge through prolonged aeration with simultaneous sludge stabilization and parallel nitrification of the wastewater.
