Thalis has signed a contract with the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise of the Regional Unit of Heraklion, Crete Region, for the project "Completion of Biological Treatment at the 'RAZOULIA' location in the Skalani area."

This project significantly contributes to achieving circularity in the broader region. With the upgrade of the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant with pre-fabricated units for biomass attachment and a tertiary treatment system with a multilayer filtration filter, the treated wastewater can be used for unlimited irrigation of olive trees and greenery in the area.

The new upgraded unit ensures the protection of the flora and fauna in the region. With increased capacity and the collection and treatment of wastewater from settlements that previously had no sewage network, the disposal of wastewater into cesspools will cease.
