Thalis has signed a contract with the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise of Rethymno, part of the Regional Unit of Rethymno, Crete Region, for the project "Remote Monitoring and Control of the Internal Network of the City of Rethymno."

With modern systems for quantitative management and remote data collection from water meters, the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise of Rethymno is entering a new era, as it will be able to gain comprehensive control over water resources, reducing leaks and providing accurate consumption measurements for the benefit of citizens.

This is an innovative project that significantly contributes to the ecological and digital transformation of the environment in the broader area, while also providing beneficial outcomes for the citizens and employees of the DEUAR, including:

• Ensuring an adequate water supply to meet consumption needs at any given time.
• Providing uninterrupted water supply, meeting the quality standards required by law, through well-designed internal networks and supply pressure.
• Ensuring the required quality control of produced and consumed water.
• Drastically reducing the operational expenses of the service by minimizing the time spent by repair teams and reducing fuel costs for employees traveling to record consumption from conventional water meters.
• Reducing the carbon footprint due to reduced vehicle movement.
• Preserving water resources by achieving leak control.
• Efficiently serving consumers directly and effectively.
