Mrs. Theodosia Bantouva-Papazisi, Chief Operating Officer of THALIS, participating in the 16th Panhellenic Conference of FODSA, highlighted the key priorities for the transformation of the solid waste management cycle in Greece, aiming for an effective transition to the Circular Economy with an emphasis on Separate Collection through the organization of integrated separate collection systems.
Mrs. Bantouva-Papazisi, among other things, pointed out: "The next steps require cooperation and a focus on value-added investments. To overcome the delays and weaknesses in waste management, a national alignment of all involved parties is required. On our part, we are examining and evaluating serious investments in the fields of recycling, material recovery, and energy recovery, which will be implemented if a clear and defined investment environment is formed."
