
THALIS Actively Contributes to Achieving Recycling Goals in the Region of Western Macedonia.

THALIS has undertaken the provision of support services to "DIADYMA S.A." for the collection and transportation of mixed, recyclable, biodegradable, to the municipalities of the Region of Western Macedonia.
Specifically, the scope of the support services contract includes, among other things:
- The transfer, storage, and transportation of recyclables, source-separated biowaste, green waste from gardens/parks, and other categories of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) through the existing network of ten Local Waste Management Units (T.M.D.A).
- The operation of the four main Creative Reuse Centers in Kastoria, Florina, Grevena, and Eordea, as well as three smaller Creative Reuse Centers in Servia, Amyntaio, and Siatista.
- The operation of the Central Integrated Waste Management Facilities (K.E.O.D.).
- The regular and emergency maintenance of fixed electromechanical equipment and mobile mechanical equipment used for waste collection, transfer, and sorting of different waste streams.
- The environmental monitoring of the K.E.O.D. in accordance with the applicable Environmental Terms Approval (A.E.P.O.) and support for the Environmental Management System implemented by "DIADYMA S.A.".
- The treatment of leachate from the landfill of the Western Macedonia Region using reverse osmosis.
The contract, with a total budget of €9,270,000, will be executed over the three-year period 2025-2028 and may be extended for an additional two years (option to extend) with an additional contractual fee of €6,180,000.
THALIS is expanding its activities and entering the waste collection sector to support the achievement of ambitious recycling targets.
