The scope of the project includes the supply and installation of a sludge dehydration unit with a centrifugal separator which was installed near the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Mechanical Recycling and Composting Plant (EMAK) and the Landfill of Chania and inside an existing building.

The unit consists of the following:

  • Centrifugal separator with following characteristics
    • Sludge treatment supply: 6 m3/h
    • Input solids concentration: 3% D.S
  • Sludge and polyelectrolyte supply system
  • Automatic set for preparation and storage of polyelectrolyte
  • Polyelectrolyte flow measurement system
  • Sludge-polyelectrolyte mixing system
  • Sludge transfer screw
  • Electrical panel of the dehydration unit
  • Electronic equipment for tanks lever control
  • Systems for measuring pH, oxygen, and suspended solids
  • Reaction tanks for flocculation of liquid waste
