The contract concerns the operation of the Heraklion Waste Pretreatment Unit

In addition, the contract includes the supply of:

  • New counterweight lifting machine
  • Small suction sweeper for cleaning spaces
  • Supply of spare parts/equipment (gantry crane system - grapple, shredder, chain conveyor, conveyor belts, fans, electrical hardware -CPU, fire extinguishing, biofilter).

The annual capacity of the unit amounts to 75,000 tons of municipal mixed waste.

The plant produces odorless and biodrying material.  According the contract Thalis ES S.A will provide the following services:

  • operation of all facilities and infrastructure of the plant and licensed transportation of products, by-products and leachates
  • monitoring of quality and quantity of incoming and outgoing waste
  • environmental monitoring using special Software
  • Maintenance of all facilities and equipment with special Monitoring software
  • Warehouse management (spare parts – consumables) with special software
  • Calibration of weighting equipment
  • Annual inspection and certification of lifting equipment
  • Remote supervision by ESDAK
  • Personnel and ESDAK education
