The project concerns the construction of the 3rd basin - extension of the Xanthi Landfill. The 3rd basin of the landfill has an area of 28 acres and can receive the generated waste of the served area for at least 7 years.
The produced amounts of waste in the served area is up to 25,000 tons of waste per year.
The project includes:
- Configuration of the space
- Leachate collection and management projects which include:
- Sealed bottom configuration
- Biogas management projects
- Landfill monitoring program
- Landfill operation and operation program
- Landfill rehabilitation projects
