The project aims to provide specialized services for the proper operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants in the settlements of Malia, Krasio, Mohos, Gouves as well as the sewage pumping stations of Stalida, Malia, Hersonissos and the vacuum drainage system in the area of Gournes and their functional upgrade.

The project includes the supply and installation of mechanical equipment in WWTP of Malia as well as in the pumping stations of Stalida, Malia and Hersonissos which in combination with the provision of specialized services for the operation of the WWTPs and the Pumping Stations of the Municipality of Hersonissos achieves the following:

  • Monitoring, control, operation and maintenance services of Malia, Mohos, Krasio, Gouves WWTPs and Stalida, Malia, Hersonissos pumping stations as well as the operation and maintenance of the sewerage network with the vacuum system of the Gournes area, with the aim of improving their operation.
  • Functional Upgrade of the mechanical equipment of the WWTP of Malia to improve the discharge quality of treated wastewater
  • Functional Upgrade of the mechanical equipment of the Pumping Stations of Stalida, Malia and Hersonissos to properly deal with the increased services during the summer months, due to the tourist character of the area.
  • Improving the monitoring of all sewerage and treatment structures of the DEAA through a central control center.
