The object of the project includes:

  • the parts of the sewage collection and transport networks, which were not constructed in the context of the first contract, as they were modified in the study update.
  • the sewage pumping stations NA1, A1, A2a, A2, A6, A7, A8 (consists of the two separate pumping stations A8a and A8b), A9, A10, A11, A14 and A16.
  • the treated wastewater disposal pipeline (gravity and depression pipelines from WWTP to the beach - land coastal pipeline - submarine pipeline) and the charging well

In more detail:

  • Swage collection and transport networks: Sewage collection and transport networks include gravity pipes made of plastic walls SN8 and / or polyethylene pipes PE 100 and twin polyethylene PE100 discharge pipes, PN 10 atm
  • Sewage pumping stations: The 12 pumping stations that will be constructed will include:
    • Twin liquid suction chamber,
    • Dry chamber, where the pumps and valves will be installed.
    • Space for the installation of electrical panels, automation panels, and power generator (oil tanks are included, which will ensure 24-hour operation for the maximum supply in each pumping station). This space will be in some pumping stations hut, while in some pumping stations it will be underground. In any case, the solution of above ground installation of electrical installations is preferred, where this is possible. In cases where the pumping stations are 150 meters from the beach or are in a prominent position, aesthetic upgrade works are provided for the better integration of the pumping stations in the surrounding area.
    • Fencing and gravel paving of the surrounding area (where required).
    • Alarm system.

  • Discharge Pipes: The disposal pipeline consists of a land section of approximately 350 meters in length made of PE 100 polyethylene pipes with a nominal pressure of PN 10atm and an 860-meter-long submarine section of PE 80 polyethylene pipes with a nominal pressure of PN 6atm. The works include the construction of the charging shaft as well as a telescopic diffuser at the end of the submarine section.
